Job summary

Insight Global in Southaven, MS is seeking an EHS Specialist to join a large energy client on a 14/14 rotation across days and nights. You will perform spot checks, audits, and enforce safety standards across multiple shifts.

The role emphasizes energy isolation, Lockout/Tagout oversight, and immediate response to unsafe conditions, with collaboration across day and night crews on data centre or gas turbine projects.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required and 3–5 years EHS/Safety experience in construction environments.
• HSD/GED with 6+ years of experience; degree preferred if 3–5 years experience.
• Strong communication, ability to receive feedback and work across shifts.
• NFPA 70E certification and any electrical certifications/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot checks on high-risk operations and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Conduct safety audits and enforce company safety standards.
• Coach crews, address unsafe conditions immediately, and document findings.
• Coordinate with day and night crews across shifts.

Job description

A large energy client is looking for EHS Specialists in the Southaven, MS area. These individuals will work a rotational schedule of 14 on (days/nights), 14 days of R&R, and then 14 days on (nights/days). During each shift, the individual will conduct spot checks on high‑risk operations, verify certifications and required documentation, perform safety audits, and ensure compliance with approved procedures. The role oversees Lockout/Tagout activities, confirming energy isolation and stopping work when standards are not met. Daily tasks include enforcing company safety standards, coaching crews, addressing unsafe conditions immediately, documenting findings, communicating with day and night crews, and ensuring safe, compliant operations at all times across shifts and operational environments consistently companywide.
