RRC Solutions Group is seeking an EH&S Engineer to be based at a manufacturing plant in Orange County, reporting to the EH&S Director. The role involves regulatory and technical oversight to ensure environmental and safety compliance while contributing as a process engineer.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining lockout/tagout programs, delivering safety trainings, conducting inspections, and writing SOPs.

Formación

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing (chemicals or materials preferred).
• HazWoper 40-hour certification ideal (24-hour acceptable).
• Train the Trainer in LOTO/Confined Space/Fall protection or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure lockout/tagout procedures are current and compliant.
• Conduct monthly EH&S training sessions.
• Perform periodic EH&S inspections and audits.
• Participate in weekend safety meetings and safety committees.
• Draft EH&S related SOPs and procedures.
• Be a member of the 24-hour HAZWOPER team.
• Administer EH&S software systems and records.
• Assist in permit-required environmental activities (wastewater, storm water, air quality, etc).

Job Description:

This person will be based at a manufacturing plant in Orange County that is quietly revolutionizing the plastics industry. The company itself is about 20 years old and they've been slowly building over that time. In addition to virgin material, they also manufacture some of their own products and this person will be involved with the regulatory and technical side of their business, helping to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations while also making contributions as a process engineer. Overall, this company employs about 75 people and this role reports to the EH&S Director. The plant is run as if it's PSM-regulated but they do not fall under OSHA PSM standards. They are cGMP-regulated because some of their own products are manufactured for human use.

Here are some of the daily/monthly responsibilities this role will have:

• Work with team members to ensure lockout/tagout procedures are available and up to date
• Perform monthly in-person EH&S related training
• Perform periodic EH&S inspections
• Take part in weekend safety meetings and safety committee teams
• Write EH&S related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• This role is a member of the 24-hour HAZWOPER team
• This person will manage administrative duties with internal EH&S software systems
• This person will assist in permit required environmental activities (wastewater, storm water, air quality, etc)

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, etc)
• 3+ years of previous manufacturing experience, ideally in chemicals or materials manufacturing
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is ideal (24-hour certification is acceptable)
• Open to hiring someone who has been an EH&S Engineer before, or a process engineer who is curious to expand their skillset
• Train the Trainer certified in LOTO/Confined Space/Fall protection, or other technical area
