Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and train employees across our California facilities.

The role partners with the Operations Manager to reduce risk, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing safety and regulatory audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record driving safety implementations.
• Experience in highly engineered manufacturing environments.
• Experience in our industry with comparable risk profiles and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Implements EHS programs in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Evaluates workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
• Conducts safety training and demonstrates the use of safety equipment.
• Investigates accidents to identify cause and determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
• Represents the company in community and industry safety groups, programs, and conferences.
• Keeps abreast of current developments of training, safety, and accident prevention programs.
• Maintains records and assembling reports on lost time accidents.
• Drive EHS compliance through audits, process/equipment review and proactive risk elimination and track corrective actions to closure.
