Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 5 years experience minimum in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
• Previous experience in a safety related position preferred.
• Safety related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain written EHS programs.
• Assist with the implementation of EHS policies, procedures, guidelines and best practices.
• Develop and administer programs to reduce work-related injuries.
• Track and report on leading and lagging safety metrics.
• Coordinate Job Hazard Analysis (JRA’s) and Risk Reduction activities.
• Conduct facility assessments to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal policies.
• Gather data, prepare and submit required safety and environmental reports.
• Analyze EHS data and communicate improvement ideas to plant supervision.
• Assist with accident, near miss, and first-aid investigations with supervisors.
• Sponsor and provide guidance to the site’s Safety Committee.
