Job summary

Azenta Inc. is seeking an EHS Manager for the South Plainfield, NJ site. The role leads environmental health and safety programs and ensures regulatory compliance while promoting a positive safety culture.

The position requires a life sciences or safety-related degree, 3–5 years in EHS/OSHA roles, and strong communication skills. Typical shift is M-F 9am-6pm with base compensation in the posted range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Occupational Safety is required.
• 3–5 years EHS/OSHA-compliance experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• OSHA 10/30-hour certification desired.
• Experience with hazard recognition training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site EHS program according to applicable EHS/OSHA regulations.
• Develop and communicate final corporate EHS policies, procedures and documents.
• Provide guidance on proper use and disposal of chemicals, hazardous materials, equipment, etc. to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.
• Recommend and implement effective and sustainable corrective actions where environmental health & safety hazards exist.
• Provide expertise to all personnel to ensure compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, guidelines, processes and permits.
• Assist senior QA personnel with execution of applicable EHS tasks related to the Quality System.
• Ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting for all required corporate EHS and Security initiatives.
• Assist with management of employee training and administration of quality documentation.
