Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years working in Safety/EHS in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, etc).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
• Strong communicator with interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management team with critical safety and health opportunities.
• Coordinate installation and upgrade projects relating to EHS with Facilities Manager and maintenance teams.
• Manage the site's EHS programs, procedures, training, JHA's, risk assessments, and incident investigations using the site's electronic management system.
• Evaluate hazardous conditions and develop hazard control plans to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Work with department managers/supervisors on safety and 6S change initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Lead and manage the plant EHS initiatives driving sustainable cultural change with a long-term strategy.
• Measure, track, and report the site's accident statistics and recommend improvements for problem areas.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports including Tier II, Form R, and other annual reports as needed.
• Develop and implement emergency response procedures and contingency plans for the site.
• Coordinate and implement design changes in processes regarding wastewater, air quality, and noise to meet compliance requirements.
