Job summary

The EHS Manager at C.H. Guenther & Son will lead the integration of EHS processes, SOPs and training to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and local regulations while supporting operations management and employees in creating a safe and healthy workplace.

This hands-on role spends time in all parts of the operation, conducting audits, managing risk assessments, incident investigations, and championing an ongoing safety culture across facilities, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• ASP or CSP a plus but not required.
• 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA and other agencies; lead permitting and ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Drive EHS program implementation and continuous improvement; track KPIs in EHS systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigation and corrective actions; manage Injury & Illness tracking.
• Conduct EHS training courses for facility areas and promote safety culture.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for management and regulators.
