Job summary

Quanterix, based in Billerica, MA, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to prevent workplace accidents and promote EHS awareness across the organization. You will develop and improve policies, ensure compliance with life science industry regulations, and lead incident investigations and emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Life Science, Pharmaceutical, or an equivalent regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of state and federal workplace health and safety laws and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and continuously improve workplace health and safety plans, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate health and safety practices through risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage chemical and biological waste operations and hazardous chemical inventory.
• Chair the Safety Committee and lead safety orientation training and onboarding.
• Perform monthly safety audits and inspect equipment and workplace conditions for hazards.
• Lead incident and accident investigations and maintain inspection records and reports.
• Oversee wastewater operations and pH neutralization systems.
• Serve as Secondary Emergency Coordinator for emergencies, spill responses, and first-aid.
• Provide guidance to project teams to meet health and safety guidelines.
