What you will do

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will support our drive for world-class EHS performance in the JAPAC region. Reporting to the Global Commercial Operations EHS director, the manager will be based in Singapore or Japan.

The successful candidate will lead the implementation of EHS programs and safety culture initiatives across our JAPAC offices, supporting office moves, expansions, and daily operations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, project management skills, and a broad understanding of EHS disciplines. Responsibilities include leading office safety, fleet and pedestrian safety, safety culture initiatives, and liaising with Occupational Health for injury management and workers' compensation. Required expertise includes:

  • Ergonomics
  • Safety Culture
  • Construction and facilities safety
  • Fire life safety and evacuation procedures
  • Slip/Trip and Falls prevention
  • Injury prevention and Incident Management
  • EHS regulatory compliance
  • Sustainability
Primary responsibilities include:

Implementing EHS programs and safety culture initiatives, including:

  • Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
  • Aligning with Amgen policies and procedures
  • Implementing and maintaining the Driver Safety Program
  • Developing training, communication, and awareness initiatives
  • Enhancing ergonomics programs and related processes
  • Collaborating with partners and leadership teams
  • Conducting trend analysis and reporting to leadership

Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree or Master’s degree with 2+ years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years related experience
  • Associate’s degree with 10+ years related experience
  • High school diploma / GED with 12+ years related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fleet and pedestrian safety expertise
  • Ergonomics knowledge
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations related to office operations
  • Strong communication, presentation, and program development skills
  • Broad knowledge of laboratory and fleet safety programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools
