Job summary

Appvion, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a results-driven EHS Manager to lead safety and health systems, reduce injuries, ensure compliance, and build a proactive safety culture on the shop floor through hands-on coaching and strong leadership.

You will develop and sustain incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and OSHA reporting while collaborating with plant teams and the Medical Director on workers' compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety sciences or environmental science; CSP preferred or working towards certificate.
• 5–7 years of professional safety and health experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and change-management skills with the ability to influence others while delivering results.
• Experience with emergency response (first aid, CPR, confined space rescue, spill & fire) preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in a union environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain safety and health systems to eliminate injuries, minimize risk, maintain regulatory compliance and reduce losses.
• Provide leadership to transform safety culture through employee involvement and hands-on coaching on the shop floor.
• Coach employees to identify and resolve safety issues and ensure continuous improvement of safety programs.
• Coordinate OSHA regulations, reporting, and safety policy administration; work with Medical Director on workers' compensation issues.
• Collaborate with other locations to share best practices and lead plant-wide safety initiatives.
