Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead and manage EHS programs across its data centers. You will drive compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while building a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organization.

You will develop policies, conduct audits, manage permits, investigate incidents, and lead training initiatives. This role requires traveling 25–50% and aligns with a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Eight+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a mission-critical environment.
• Certifications from BCSP or equivalent, or ability to obtain within two years.
• Solid experience designing and implementing EHS risk management systems.
• Ability to travel 25–50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure safety and well-being of all data center employees.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all EHS programs.
• Conduct and review audits of EHS programs, making recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain environmental permits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Investigate and analyze incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Identify EHS and sustainability risks and develop mitigation programs.
• Assess EHS training needs and ensure delivery of training activities.
• Lead site EHS champions in successful EHS program implementation.
• Oversee preparation and submission of regulatory documents.
• Set, manage, and track corporate-wide EHS goals.
• Establish a performance dashboard highlighting key EHS indicators.
• Foster a culture of EHS awareness and drive safety performance.
