Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking an EHS Manager to develop a safety culture and implement risk-reduction strategies on construction sites in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, training staff, and managing incidents effectively.
The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of EHS management experience and a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments, while also ensuring the safety and health of our workforce.
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing a safety culture on the project that anticipates construction risk and mitigates hazards to prevent injury to personnel or damage to the structure. The role involves promoting, developing, implementing, verifying, and improving risk-reduction through planning, EHS programs, incident reporting, trend analysis, team cohesion, training, craft recognition programs, and continuous improvement toward a positive safety culture.
Work is performed on an active construction site and requires standing or walking for long periods. The position may involve the use of standard office equipment and occasional movement of equipment up to 50lbs.
Ability to travel to company offices and job sites; some driving is required for all Fortis positions.
