Job summary

Precinmac is seeking an Environmental Health, and Safety Manager to develop, coordinate, and implement health policies and procedures to promote safe operations across the organization.

The role requires inspecting facilities for safety, health, and environmental risks, developing policies, conducting audits, and delivering emergency and workplace safety training. Travel to additional Precinmac entities is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Inspect safety equipment and recommend replacements; conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and schedule training on emergency procedures and workplace safety; provide support to the safety committee.
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and reporting; retain MSDS records and hazardous waste documentation.
  • Stop operations that could harm employees or equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Travel to and work with additional Precinmac entities as needed.

Job Summary:

The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will develop, coordinate, and implement health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Inspects safety equipment; recommends replacements.
  • Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Develops and implements health and safety policies and procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Reviews existing safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee.
  • Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Completes accident and incident reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct training.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel to additional Precinmac entities, including but not limited to Viper Northwest, with regularity.
