Job summary

Siemens Pomona, CA seeks an EHS Manager to lead safety, health and environmental compliance across factory operations. You will develop and coordinate EHS programs, work with site leadership, and drive sustainable culture improvements while maintaining ISO compliance.

This role requires 5+ years of industrial manufacturing EHS experience, ISO 45001/14001 expertise, and strong regulatory knowledge plus leadership capabilities to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years EHS experience in industrial manufacturing environment with leadership experience.
  • ISO 45001:2018 OSHMS and ISO 14001:2015 EMS familiarity.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, CWA, etc.).
  • Experience leading EHS programs and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Leadership Team and Corporate Resources on EHS activities and initiatives.
  • Conduct and lead EHS incident investigations and recordkeeping.
  • Perform industrial hygiene surveys, ergonomic evaluations, air monitoring, noise sampling.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and drive corrective actions.
  • Keep up to date with environmental and occupational safety regulations (RCRA, DOT, CWA, NFPA 70E, OSHA).
  • Collaborate with regulators, employees, and legal counsel as needed on regulatory changes.

We are looking for an EHS Manager for our Pomona, CA facility

Position Overview

The EHS Professional is responsible for leading safety, health, and environmental compliance (OSHA, EPA, DHEC, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc) as well as associated programs and initiatives across factory operations. This role will work closely with the leadership team and is responsible for owning the development, implementation, and coordination of EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance and drive sustainable EHS culture improvement. This position has a direct impact on Business Unit performance and must possess an in-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

In this role you will serve as a resource to the employees at the location, provide tools and support to site leadership in order to achieve Siemens’ EHS goals and objectives. This role will also be responsible for co‑leading the site’s safety initiative(s) as well as maintaining and improving EHS policies and programs. In addition to EHS responsibilities this position will provide oversight of site Maintenance Department to ensure compliance with all required activities and initiatives regarding equipment and shop maintenance.

You will make an impact by:
  • Coordinate with the factory’s Leadership Team and Corporate Resources on EHS activities and initiatives
  • Conducting and leading EHS incident investigations, including incident tracking and recordkeeping requirements (internal and external)
  • Performing/coordinating industrial hygiene surveys, ergonomic evaluations, air monitoring, noise sampling
  • Participating in audit activities (internal and external) including identification of EHS issues and driving actions to resolve
  • Current knowledge of existing environmental and occupational safety regulations including but not limited RCRA, CWA, Industrial Pretreatment Program, SWPPP, SPCC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, etc.
  • Collaborating with regulatory agencies, employees, and outside legal counsel on behalf of business when required: coordinating business response and/or comments to regulatory changes
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 + years EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (i.e. overhead crane operation, high voltage equipment testing, ergonomic assessments, etc.) with experience supervising at least 2 employees.
  • Experience with ISO 45001:2018 OSHMS & 14001:2015 EMS
  • Validated understanding of environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, CWA, etc.)
  • Experience handling occupational safety & health programs
  • Validated experience working on cross‑functional teams as well as leading EHS projects (project management experience)
  • Use of MS Office programs including outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASP, CSP, CHMM
  • SAP Experience
