Job summary

Frey Consulting Group in Omaha, NE seeks an hands-on EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at a local food manufacturing facility.

In this direct-hire role, you’ll partner with plant leadership to strengthen safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement on the floor and in audits, training, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Experience in a food industry plant environment is preferred.
• CSP or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite EHS leader and partner with plant leadership to drive a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage safety programs including LOTO, Hazard Communication, Confined Space, Hot Work, Contractor Safety, and injury prevention.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, JHAs, and incident investigations.
• Track safety metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental programs related to waste, water/wastewater, air emissions, and hazardous materials.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and supervisors.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response efforts.
• Partner with Operations and Quality to integrate safety into daily production activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing risk and improving compliance.

The EHS Manager will lead environmental, health, and safety programs for a food manufacturing facility in Omaha, NE. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for regulatory compliance, safety culture, employee training, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Direct hire with full benefits package

Salary + annual bonus (up to $100k DOE)
