Job summary

Xecutive Recruitment Inc. is seeking an EHS Manager to own and elevate our site safety program at the Monroe, MI headquarters. This role leads OSHA-compliant policies, procedures, and monitoring while partnering with HR on return-to-work and workers’ comp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• OSHA/other safety certifications preferred.
• 5+ years’ manufacturing safety experience, including leadership/program ownership.
• Knowledge of OSHA and governmental/regulatory standards.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills, judgment, and initiative.
• Effective with senior management; strong oral/written presentation skills.
• Collaborative and influential stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety programs, policies, and continuous improvement.

• Collect data; report safety/accident events to senior management.
• Coordinate fire/evacuation, hazardous waste, resource conservation, and manufacturing safety.
• Provide hazard warnings and access-control materials.
• Submit accident reports to management and regulators.
• Manage respirator/hearing programs as needed.
• Partner with HR on light duty, return-to-work, and workers’ comp.
• Stay current via development, reading, and networks.

Job description

Inspect procedures, facilities, and equipment; identify unsafe conditions; drive safeguards and lasting solutions. Ensure regulatory compliance and employee adherence.

Work environment

• On-site at Monroe, MI headquarters; travel as needed
• Manufacturing floor presence; stand/walk up to ~50%
• Occasionally lift ~15 lbs; computer/office work as needed
