Job summary

Excel Learning Center is seeking a Lead Teacher for our Early Head Start classroom in Jacksonville, NC. The ideal candidate will hold an Infant/Toddler CDA and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and have experience teaching young children.

Pay range is $16-$18 USD per hour. We offer competitive pay, paid training, health, dental and vision benefits, paid holidays and PTO, a 401K with company match, and no nights or weekends.

  • Must possess an Infant/Toddler CDA and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
  • Experience teaching young children in a classroom setting.
  • Meet all state and federal childcare licensing requirements.

Pay Range

$16 - $18 USD

What It Takes to Join Us
  • At least 18 years old with a HS diploma or GED
  • EDU 119 and 12+ hours of ECE coursework (or currently enrolled and working toward it)
  • Experience teaching young children
  • A love for teaching young children and supporting their growth
  • Ability to meet all state and federal childcare licensing requirements
