Job summary

H.B. Fuller seeks an EHS Intern in Chagrin Falls, OH. You’ll support environmental, health, and safety initiatives in a chemical manufacturing site, assisting with audits, regulatory compliance, waste programs, and continuous improvement projects.

The 12-week, paid internship runs late May to mid‑August with mentorship from managers and opportunities to present final results to leadership, plus a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Rising junior or senior standing at the time of the internship.
• Strong interest in workplace safety and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct job safety analyses for non-routine tasks and suggest risk mitigation.
• Perform routine hazardous waste inspections to support compliance.
• Assist in identifying recycling and sustainability initiatives.
• Conduct 5S audits across departments and track corrective actions.
• Review SOPs to ensure EHS compliance.
• Conduct contractor safety observations and document findings.
• Develop toolbox talks and safety communications for employee awareness.
