Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking an EHS Health & Safety Intern in Nashville to design solutions and mitigate hazards. You will work with cross-functional teams to learn how safety practices are implemented across operations and communities.

You will develop hands-on experience, participate in training, and contribute to environmental and safety programs while gaining exposure to regulatory requirements and project management within a global company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Occupational Health Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Technology, or similar field.
• Sophomore to senior standing with GPA of at least 3.0.
• Available to work 40 hours weekly for a 12-week internship.
• No prior work experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions to mitigate safety hazards in the workplace and community.
• Develop and implement safety policies and practices.
• Identify workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, and unsafe work practices.
• Investigate accidents with engineers and regulators to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain records of injuries, illnesses, and absences for regulatory reporting.
• Assist in delivering training and development requirements to employees.
