Job summary

Capital Technology Resources is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Generalist to support the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of EHS policies and programs. The role partners with EHS professionals, managers, and employees to promote a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance at the Proving Ground facility.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of EHS experience, knowledge of OSHA standards and state regulations, and strong communication skills to influence

Qualifications

  • Typically requires 1 to 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety or related field.
  • Knowledge of Arizona state and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and relevant ANSI, NFPA, NEC standards.
  • Working knowledge of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics principles.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and partner with employees and leaders to achieve EHS objectives.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build credibility across all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Support EHS management system implementation, integration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical EHS support and guidance to stakeholders, including investigations and regulatory interpretation.
  • Assist in developing strategies for injury and illness prevention, regulatory compliance, and safety performance monitoring.
  • Support safe operation of testing activities, including on-site vehicle testing and related programs.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure proper training, signage, licensing, and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training and educational programs based on incident trends and data.

Job description

Job Summary

CTR is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Generalist. The EHS Generalist supports the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of all EHS policies, programs, and processes. This role partners with EHS professionals, managers, supervisors, employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance across the Proving Ground facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Harley-Davidson Health & Safety Management System through participation in:
    • Continuous Improvement System (CIS) integration
    • Workplace analysis and risk assessment
    • Hazard prevention and control
    • Safety education, communication, and recognition
    • Care, case, and claims management.
  • Provide technical EHS support and guidance to stakeholders, including:
    • Incident investigations and root cause analysis
    • Ergonomic assessments
    • Regulatory interpretation
    • Application of safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best-in-class strategies, standards, and solutions for:
    • Injury and illness prevention
    • Regulatory compliance
    • Behavioral safety performance
    • Data analysis and safety trend monitoring
    • Alignment with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH, and other applicable standards.
  • Support the safe operation of Proving Ground testing activities, including:
    • On-site vehicle testing
    • Product development activities
    • Off-site riding events
    • Resident and visitor riding programs
    • Safe testing and riding practices.
  • Partner with testing and operations teams to ensure safe execution of:
    • Duty cycles
    • Track operations
    • Shared-track activities
    • Signage, licensing, and training requirements.
  • Collaborate with shared-site operators and external partners on EHS initiatives and compliance activities.
  • Support Product Development teams by integrating EHS requirements into testing and development activities.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of safety training and educational programs based on incident trends, risk assessments, and performance data.
  • Coordinate and evaluate emergency drills, tabletop exercises, and response training to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Develop corrective actions and track completion of identified improvement opportunities. Assist in maintaining emergency equipment, emergency response documentation, and business continuity preparedness plans for the Proving Ground facility
Education

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience and Qualifications
