Job summary

Qnity is seeking an Environmental Engineer to advance our EHS program within a manufacturing setting. You will ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate standards, manage the ISO 14001 program, and lead sustainability reporting and data tracking.

The role requires 3–6 years in EHS, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work independently or in a team to drive improvements across site operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in an environmental engineering or EHS role within a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (EPA/OSHA; RCRA; Clean Air/Water Acts).

  • Manage ISO 14001 program and assist with process safety management initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for compliance with environmental regulations, including air, water, and hazardous waste programs
  • Responsible for compliance with Corporate Standards
  • Manage ISO 14001 program
  • Process Safety Management experience a plus
  • Responsible for sustainability reporting and data tracking
  • Lead environmental performance improvements and waste reduction initiatives
  • Participate/Lead routine inspections and EHS auditing
  • Open to learning and expanding expertise across additional EHS areas to strengthen team performance and better support site operations
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in an environmental engineering or EHS role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal (e.g., EPA, OSHA) and state environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
  • Experience with environmental permitting, reporting (e.g., TRI, air emissions, wastewater), and compliance auditing.
  • Demonstrated experience in hazardous waste management and chemical handling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Certifications such as CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or similar are a plus.
