Job summary

ADM Forsyth, MO seeks an experienced Health and Safety, Environment Manager to lead EH&S programs at the plant. You will guide strategy, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety standards.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires collaboration with plant leaders, strong communication, and the ability to manage risk in diverse environments. Relocation assistance is available and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental or other applicable field (degree waivable with 6–12 years in an EHS role).
• Preferred manufacturing environment experience.
• Effective oral and written communication, including public presentation ability.
• Strong computer skills: MS Office and ability to learn other systems quickly.
• Proven ability to work effectively on a team.
• Proven ability to recognize hazards, assess risk and implement controls.
• Ability to work in office and indoor/outdoor environments including extreme heat/cold.
• Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods and climb stairs.
• Travel up to 5 times per year, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Plant Manager and other plant leaders to implement and maintain EHS KPIs.
• Provide leadership, guidance, training and public presentations as needed.
• Lead safety engagement and mentor colleagues to drive safety initiatives.
• Evaluate environmental, health and safety programs and policies through monitoring and audits.
• Communicate EH&S regulations and ensure facility implementation and management.
• Assess and manage safety and health risks of normal operations and emergencies.
• Provide leadership for environmental and safety reporting in a computer-based system.
• Champion colleague safety engagement in various forms.
• Identify training needs related to safety and provide training.
• Partner with Total Process Safety Leaders to ensure compliance with process safety standards.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and oversight of injury cases.
• Support Continuous Improvement via monthly calls with business unit leaders and global EHS teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental or related field

6–12 years in a dedicated EHS role

Effective oral and written communication

Strong computer skills; MS Office; quick learning of systems

Team leadership and collaboration

Ability to work in varied environments; extreme temperatures

Prolonged standing/walking; stairs; physical stamina
