Job summary

Pyrotek, Inc. seeks a Safety and Environmental Engineer to coordinate safety and environmental activities for US operations.

You will work with EHS leadership and site teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules while driving a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across facilities. Responsibilities include emissions calculations, SDS support for US products, audits of operations and contractors, and timely reporting of OSHA and environmental metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, plus a minimum of four (4) years of safety and/or environmental regulatory experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to review regulatory requirements and implement compliance programs.
• Experience with emissions calculations and SDS support.
• Proficiency in creating CAD drawings to support safety and regulatory activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement and sustain safety and environmental activities for US operations at assigned location(s).
• Collaborate with Environmental, Health & Safety Division Manager and site teams to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
• Drive a behavior-based quality and safety culture characterized by accountability and teamwork.
• Perform emissions calculations to prepare permits and reports; provide SDS support for US products and processes.
• Conduct safety and environmental audits and lead improvement initiatives to enhance site operations.
• Provide timely completion and reporting of internal and external required documentation including OSHA data and environmental reports.
