Position Overview
The EHS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe workplace. This role involves conducting risk assessments, analyzing hazards, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend control measures.
- Provide training and support to employees on safety practices, environmental regulations, and health initiatives.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in safety and environmental management.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into operational practices and decision-making processes.
- Stay updated on OSHA regulations and environmental laws to ensure company compliance and mitigate risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in hazard analysis and risk identification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing hazard analysis strategies.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and their implications for workplace health and safety.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
