Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking an EHS Engineer to own environmental programs on an aerospace manufacturing site, driving sustainability and safety performance. This role provides direct exposure to site leadership and hands-on project ownership with clear career growth potential.

The ideal candidate will lead compliance efforts, manage permitting and reporting, and collaborate with operations to strengthen environmental performance while fostering a strong safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing/aerospace/industrial environments.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, compliance, and reporting.
• Experience with wastewater, air emissions, hazardous waste or sustainability programs.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programs and regulatory excellence across site operations.
• Drive emissions reduction, waste minimization, energy efficiency, and stewardship.
• Manage air permitting, wastewater compliance, hazardous waste, and reporting.
• Analyze ESG/EHS metrics to identify trends and support improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and leadership to strengthen environmental performance and safety culture.
• Support employee training, industrial hygiene programs, and EHS initiatives.
• Serve as environmental and safety resource for cross-functional teams.

The Responsibilities of the EHS Engineer will include:

• Lead environmental compliance programs and support regulatory excellence across site operations.
• Drive sustainability initiatives focused on emissions reduction, waste minimization, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
• Manage air permitting, wastewater compliance, hazardous waste programs, and environmental reporting requirements.
• Analyze ESG and EHS metrics to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Partner with operations and site leadership to strengthen environmental performance and safety culture.
• Support employee training, industrial hygiene programs, and site-wide EHS initiatives.
• Serve as a key environmental and safety resource for cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The ideal EHS Engineer will have the following skillsets:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, chemical, or related environments.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting wastewater, air emissions, hazardous waste, or sustainability programs.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and occupational safety initiative
• Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for driving operational excellence.
