Job summary

Wells in Crystal Lake, IL, is seeking an EHS Manager to lead safety and environmental programs at a precast manufacturing facility. You will partner with production and leadership to reduce risk, ensure OSHA compliance, and build a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has hands-on safety leadership experience in manufacturing, strong collaboration skills, and a proven ability to influence at all levels while driving accountability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or precast environments.
• OSHA 30 (General Industry) preferred; OSHA 501 required.
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture through communication and engagement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct inspections and risk assessments; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Lead safety training programs (LOTO, PPE, fall protection).
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Create Job Hazard Analyses for key functions.
• Coordinate with contractors to meet safety standards.
• Track audits and close out corrective actions.
• Analyze TRIR and DART data; provide improvement reports.
• Support environmental compliance including waste management.
• Implement sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact.
