Job summary

Novolex is seeking an EHS Coordinator to coordinate and implement environmental, health and safety programs across the plant in Logan Township, NJ. The role emphasizes compliance, hazard identification, and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.

You will lead site EHS functions, audits, and training, track corrective actions, and work with cross-functional teams to reduce incidents. Strong knowledge of EH&S regulations and experience in manufacturing are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in EHS coordination or similar role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards and best practices.
• Excellent understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and root causes.
• Familiarity with EHS management systems and software.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of sustainability principles and practices is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement environmental, health and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead site EHS functions and safety initiatives, audits and reporting.
• Conduct WOW and LRA safety observations and involve shop floor staff.
• Track corrective and preventive actions related to EH&S.
• Manage and maintain safety records and reporting databases such as Intelex.
• Support incident investigations and coordinate medical attention when needed.
• Develop and provide EH&S data analyses, dashboards and Pareto charts.
• Facilitate JSA and LOTO programs and ensure annual trainings.
• Collaborate with plant departments to ensure robust safety programs.
• Support training and development through company programs.
