Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Towers & Structures (NTS) seeks an Environmental Coordinator at our Crawfordsville, IN facility. Responsibilities include leading environmental compliance efforts at our greenfield and temporary operations, managing permit applications, overseeing projects, conducting training, maintaining emergency contingency plans, and engaging in community outreach. The role emphasizes identifying opportunities to enhance operations, culture, and environmental impact.

The Environmental Coordinator will report to the EHS Supervisor and collaborate with multiple teams within Nucor, including the NTS Group EHS and Nucor Environmental Team. Promoting a positive environmental and safety culture through positive interaction is essential.

Safety is paramount at Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards consistently.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Four-year degree from an accredited university in environmental science or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four-year degree in engineering, preferably environmental, chemical, civil, or similar.
• Knowledge of RCRA waste generation, storage, and disposal.
• Two or more years of experience in environmental compliance, air pollution control, waste management, or wastewater treatment. Familiarity with environmental regulations (air, water, EPCRA, DOT, hazardous waste).
