Job summary

Camco Manufacturing in Greensboro, NC seeks a proactive EHS Coordinator to lead safety initiatives across all departments. You will train and communicate in English and Spanish, conduct audits, and help build a strong safety culture to reduce risks and ensure compliance.

The role focuses on policy development, incident investigations, regulatory adherence, and maintaining EHS records. You will partner with department heads to implement best practices while staying current with new regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related field required or equivalent.
  • BCSP certification highly preferred.
  • Experience in safety with policy development and program implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and update company-wide EHS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Lead daily EHS activities including training, coaching, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and evaluate effectiveness of EHS measures.
  • Deliver safety training and communication in both English and Spanish to ensure full workforce understanding.
  • Work with department heads to ensure EHS procedures are followed across operations.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, providing detailed reports and corrective actions.
  • Stay current on new regulations, technologies, and best practices.
  • Maintain EHS records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

Job Title: EHS Coordinator
Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, people‑focused EHS Coordinator to lead safety initiatives and support a diverse workforce. In this role, your English and Spanish communication skills will be used daily to train employees, conduct audits, and build a strong safety culture across all departments. You will play a key role in reducing risks, improving compliance, and ensuring every employee regardless of language understands and follows safe work practices.

  • Develop, implement, and update company‑wide EHS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Lead daily EHS activities, including training, coaching, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS Management, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field
  • Certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a safety role with proven experience in policy development and safety program implementation is preferred.
  • In‑depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and training skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and make quick decisions to improve safety.
  • Experience conducting safety audits and inspections.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
