The role focuses on developing, implementing, and enforcing EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. You will manage training programs, contract waste disposal, and incident response, coordinating with agencies and emergency personnel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety function.
• Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline.
• Ability to multi-task is required.
• Strong computer skills necessary.
• Exposure to dust, heat, noise, and cold.
• Close attention to detail skills required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee environmental, industrial, health & safety regulations for single facility.
• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures including chemical safety, ergonomics, illness and injury prevention and building safety.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local environmental safety regulations and liaise with agencies.
• Oversee contracts for licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal and monitor waste handling.
• Oversee training programs: compliance, lab/plant inspection, hazardous materials handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene, life safety.
• May be point of contact for emergency personnel.
• Ensure corrective actions for health and safety hazards.
• Monitor EHS program performance and regulatory compliance; interact with government agencies.
