Job summary

DPR Construction in Charlotte, NC seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Support professional to help implement practices that keep workers safe and compliant. You will assist with inspections, documentation, training, incident investigations, and risk assessments under the guidance of the EHS team.

This role emphasizes record-keeping, emergency drill participation, and communication with site personnel to promote a culture of safety across projects.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
  • 0 - 4 years of experience in EHS support roles within corporate, industrial, consulting environments, or a related field required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting routine inspections, audits and other administrative EHS tasks including onboarding.
  • Support the investigation and documentation of incidents, near-misses, and workplace hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance activities.
  • Communicate safety procedures and updates to employees to promote understanding and adherence.
  • Coordinate the distribution and tracking of personal protective equipment and safety materials.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and summaries for internal review and compliance purposes.

Job Summary:

Supports the organization’s commitment to a safe and healthy work environment by assisting with the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices. Contributes to the identification and resolution of potential hazards to minimize risk and ensure compliance with established policies. Collaborates with team members to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols across the workplace. Maintains accurate records and documentation to support continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance. Enhances the effectiveness of safety initiatives by providing timely communication and support to employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Education Qualifications:

Certifications and Licenses:
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction training preferred.
