Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a Safety Administrator to manage safety records and oversee safety programs across sites in the Southwest region, including Chandler, AZ. The role requires ensuring compliance with safety procedures, maintaining manuals, and coordinating with site teams for training and inspections.

The candidate will support permit applications, manage PPE and first aid supplies, and prepare monthly safety reports. Travel within the region and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow company safety procedures
• Must demonstrate lock out tag out procedures
• Pass internal certification training
• Travel within assigned region
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Responsibilities

• Administer Safety Programs within the Southwest region (4 sites).
• Maintain each site's Plant Safety Manual.
• Serve as Safety Committee Secretary.
• Maintain and adhere to the Plant Safety manual.
• Maintain safety records and prepare monthly safety reports.
• Assist in preparing and submitting permit applications to regulatory agencies.
• Order and maintain personal protective equipment and first aid supplies.
• Assist plant personnel with safety training.
• Attend site weekly toolbox talks when available.
• Enter and maintain data in on-site data/recordkeeping software.
• Inspect work environments, machinery, and equipment for regulatory conformance.
• Observe employees for compliance with safety precautions and equipment usage.
• Ensure monthly inspections and weekly meetings are completed.
• Complete annual DEQ emission reports and permit compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of new technologies and regulations.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of safety records for assigned sites within the Southwest region.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain safety records and prepare monthly safety reports
• Assist in the preparation and submitting permit applications to the proper regulatory agencies
• Order and maintain personal protective equipment and first aid supplies
• Assist plant personnel with safety training
• Attend site's weekly toolbox talks when available
• Enter and maintain data in the software used on site for data and recordkeeping
• Inspect work environments, machinery and equipment in establishments and other work sites for conformance with governmental standards
• Observe employees and determine compliance with safety precautions and safety equipment used
• Ensure monthly inspections and weekly meetings are completed each month
• Complete annual DEQ emission reports and Permit compliance
• Maintain working knowledge of new technologies developed by the industry and government regulations

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to follow company safety procedures and attend weekly safety meetings
• Must be able to demonstrate lock out tag out procedures and keep key lock at all times
• Able to pass internal certification training
• Travel will be required within assigned region
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. on occasion
