Job summary

Wabash is seeking an EOHS Specialist to drive world-class environmental, health, and safety performance at the Lafayette facility. Under the direction of the EOHSS Manager, you will oversee EOHS programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and mentor teams to improve performance.

You will develop compliance requirements, participate in audits, prepare regulatory submittals, and support training, recordkeeping, and incident investigations while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Management and handling.
• First aid training or certification.
• ISO 14001 Auditor experience or training.
• OSHA regulations knowledge applicable to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing EOHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain training, registrations, and permits for facility processes.
• Provide guidance to management on EOHS issues and culture.
• Prepare regulatory submittals and reports as needed.
• Support EOHS training programs and recordkeeping systems.
• Maintain spill response and fall protection inventories.
• Support Fire Protection Systems operations and risk assessments.
• Attend audits and develop corrective action plans.
• Drive proactive safety culture and mentor staff.
• Manage vendor compliance in contractor management system.
