Job summary

GXO Logistics in Houston seeks an experienced EHS Manager to oversee the EHS team and ensure regulatory compliance across our warehousing operations. You will drive program development, audits, and training to meet safety objectives in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role emphasizes coordination of EHS processes, policy maintenance, and collaboration with customers to sustain safe, compliant facilities. Bachelor's in OH&S and 2 years of related experience required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience.
• Solid time and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads.
• Experience with EHS in a warehousing/distribution environment.
• Understanding of industry-related state and federal rules and regulations.
• May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer.
• Must comply with GXO COVID safety policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the EHS team to ensure compliance with all EHS regulations
• Support achievement of company and customer objectives
• Provide elevated support to the EHS team and ensure all EHS compliance aspects are met
• Maintain, coordinate and communicate EHS processes and procedures
• Review, administer, maintain and ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations
• Conduct on-site audits of facility requirements related to EHS programs and initiatives
• Review, research, develop and communicate EHS programs and solution initiatives
• Develop action plans as necessary
• Lead safety meetings, training and continuing education
