Job summary

AAON, Inc. seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety professional to partner with EHS Managers in inspections, audits, and program development across facilities. You will document hazards, support regulatory programs (SPCC, RCRA, SWPPP), and help close compliance gaps through collaboration with multiple departments.

The role emphasizes training development, recordkeeping, and maintaining written environmental health and safety programs, with travel up to 25% for audits and site support.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance, auditing, or program administration.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA standards.
• Experience with Title V air permits strongly preferred.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports EHS Managers by writing, revising, and maintaining policies, programs, and written procedures.
• Conducts facility inspections, audits, and observations to identify potential safety and environmental hazards; documents findings and tracks corrective actions.
• Supports environmental compliance activities, including contributing to reports, maintaining required records, and assisting with regulatory programs and permit conditions.
• Coordinates with facility EHS teams to evaluate program effectiveness and track compliance activities.
• Prepares reports and supporting documentation for submission to internal stakeholders or regulatory agencies.
• Develops tools, resources, and documentation used for safety and environmental compliance audits.
• Coordinates and facilitates EHS training and assists in the development of new training materials as needed.
• Promotes a strong safety culture through engagement, education, and collaboration with employees at all levels.
• Travels up to 25% overnight to support audits, data collection, training, and other EHS activities.
