Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking an EHS Analyst to support environmental, health and safety initiatives at our Jonesville, SC site. You will help achieve EHS targets, conduct risk assessments, develop trainings and campaigns to promote zero incident culture, and engage the MESH team across shifts.

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 1+ year in EHS program management and/or training.
  • U.S. work authorization is required; no immigration sponsorship will be provided.
  • Willingness to work on-site within 50-mile radius of Jonesville, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates IH assessments and employee medical evaluations as needed.
  • Attends incident investigations and manages corrective actions closure.

Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a EHS Analyst.

What You’ll Do
  • Supports site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Supports development, maintenance and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Supports site leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks. Engages all shifts and communicates updates on daily basis
  • Supports EHS Manager with developing and conducting required training and the development of campaigns to promote zero incident EHS culture throughout the site.
  • Facilitate engagement of site MESH Team in ownership of the MESH elements.
  • Works with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
  • Uses established EHS data platforms such as Benchmark to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
  • Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Supports security assessments, workstation risk assessments, ergonomic assessments, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate IH assessments (ex. noise, hex chrome, welding) and employee medical evaluations (ex. respirator use)
  • Attend incident investigations (injuries, incidents, spills, property damage & near misses), manage on time closure and escalation of all corrective actions
  • Assist with layered process audits for EHS processes and ensure follow-through and closure of findings (ex. SWPP, SPCC, air permit checks, daily safety walks, waste inspections)
  • Manages ISO 14001 actions using a project plan approach and provide weekly status updates
  • Supporting problem solving and tier meetings for various value streams.
  • Support Emergency Response Team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution OR 5 years of experience in environmental, health and safety.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in environmental, health and safety program management and/or employee EHS training.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental discipline.
  • OSHA & Environmental compliance management experience.
  • Active involvement with Emergency Response Teams (ERT).
  • Strong EHS background with emphasis on environmental programs.
  • Skilled in industrial hygiene oversight and implementation.
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments including fabrication and welding operations.
