Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking an EHR Specialist (Non-Clinical) to support the EHR system across departments. You will troubleshoot, train staff, and coordinate go-live activities to ensure safe, efficient patient care and smooth business operations.

The role requires Cerner experience, data analytics skills, and the ability to work with IT, clinical, and administrative teams to optimize workflows and reporting. On-site work with flexible hours during Go-Live.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner and data abstraction, analytics or management.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization and reporting tools.
• Computer literacy in basic software, internet use and databases.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex data and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, nurses, technicians and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day support for clinical components of the EHR system.
• Coordinates testing of updates and ensures staff training on updates.
• Maintains knowledge of the EHR system and serves as SME.
• Manages end-user education and setup within the EHR system.
• Assists in data extraction and contributes to centralized reporting.
• Participates in system monitoring and implementation of new functionality.
