We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration across clinical, technical, and stakeholder groups to deliver a best-in-class EHR solution.

DESCRIPTION

Integration Architect to support the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This role is critical in aligning clinical, technical, and program stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of Cerner/Oracle EHR solutions across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in EHR systems, integration strategies, and program management to drive mission success for one of the nation's most impactful healthcare transformation initiatives.

The Integration Architect will:
  • Serve as a liaison across solution areas in design, build, testing, and training.
  • Align clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders in support of cross-functional decision-making.
  • Evaluate and assess workflow and configuration changes for enterprise-wide impact.
  • Apply project and program management methodologies to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate technical risks related to integration capabilities and platforms.
  • Provide oversight and recommendations on critical decisions for program leadership.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional work experience in IT, healthcare IT, or systems integration.
  • Proven experience managing IT-related projects with strong understanding of life cycle and project management methodologies.
  • Skilled in tracking costs, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with the VA or federal healthcare programs.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Cerner/Oracle Electronic Health Records.
  • Functional expertise in EHR workflows, solution architecture, and build tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to align clinical and technical teams.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
  • 8+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Years of experience in a similar role: Required: 10+ years' experience in IT or Systems Integration roles
