Job summary

Iowa Specialty Hospital seeks an EPIC Clinical Content Builder to join the Informatics team. You will build and maintain clinical order sets and charge capture records across inpatient and outpatient care, collaborating directly with clinicians to ensure safe and efficient workflows.

You will perform annual reviews of order sets, maintain change logs, and assist with new Epic applications and initiatives. A fast learner with strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a fast learner who thrives on precision and can work independently
• Ability to obtain Clinical Content and Clinical Informatics Certifications within one year of hire
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex build projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clinicians and technical staff
• Experience with Epic order set and/or charge capture build strongly preferred

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented EPIC Clinical Content Builder to join our Informatics team.

Job Description

• Building and maintaining clinical order sets across all areas of care—both inpatient and outpatient.
• Developing and maintaining charge capture records for all departments.
• Collaborate directly with clinical end users to design, test, and validate build that supports safe and efficient workflows.
• Complete annual reviews of all order sets in compliance with Safer Guides requirements.
• Maintain a detailed change management log documenting build modifications and rationale.
• Support Informatics team projects and assist with implementation of new Epic applications or initiatives.
• Work independently to manage build requests, follow up on assigned projects, and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain both Clinical Content and Clinical Informatics Certifications within one year of hire.
