Position Title: EHR Application Analyst I - Patient Access
Department: IT Care Delivery Applications
Job Description:

This position may be performed remotely from the following locations within the United States of America: Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

This position may be filled as an EHR Application Analyst I, II, or III depending on individual qualifications including education, experience, and/or certifications.

The EHR Application Analyst I will assist in the development, support, and rollout of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The role involves optimizing workflow processes by building applications tailored to meet organizational needs, learning the EHR system’s capabilities, and applying healthcare business workflows to support system implementation.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and resolve system errors to ensure continuous EHR system operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure system stability and security.
  • Participate in testing and validation of system changes, following change management processes to ensure features meet requirements without causing disruptions.
  • Configure and customize the EHR system to meet the specific needs and workflows of healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals, clinicians, administrators, and vendors to support EHR initiatives and projects.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and support issues to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare staff and facility leadership.
General Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of applicable IT or healthcare experience required.
  • License/Certification: Epic certification required within three months of class completion or six months of hire.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Analytical, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in teams.
    • Problem-solving skills and understanding customer needs.
    • Knowledge of healthcare processes and technology.
    • Understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology.
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
