Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT invites students to join the Health & Safety (EH&S) 2027 Summer Internship. You will work at the Groton shipyard with opportunities to support safety programs and learn compliance with OSHA standards.

Interns commit to 8 weeks, 40 hours per week, and may be assigned to multiple locations in the region. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are valued as you gain hands-on EH&S experience in a shipyard setting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university and be available for the Summer 2027 season.
• Pursuing one of the listed safety/health majors or related fields.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Effective written and verbal communication within the EH&S team.
• Work independently and as part of a team on safety assignments.
• Learn new EH&S skills and apply them to real-world tasks.
• Solve problems constructively and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
