Job summary

Tenneco Inc. seeks an experienced EHS Manager for its Manitowoc, Wisconsin Powertrain Plant. You will lead the development, implementation, and support of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in safety & environmental program management, with ISO 14000 EMS and ISO 45001 OHSMS experience, and the ability to file timely regulatory reports and manage hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EH&S or related field with 5–10 years in safety and environmental program management.
• Specialized training in safety and environmental regulations required.
• Experience implementing ISO 14000 EMS and ISO 45001 OHSMS with audits and document control.
• Preparation and filing of legal reports (OSHA logs, regulatory filings) on time.

• Develop and implement EHS programs at the Manitowoc plant.
• Control and disposal of all hazardous materials.
• Prepare permits to install, operate, or modify pollution control systems.
• Implement waste handling and cost-reduction while ensuring compliance.
• Develop training programs on chemical hazards and PPE use.

Job description

The EHS Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of the Tenneco Environmental, Health and Safety Programs at the Manitowoc, WI Powertrain Plant.

A Bachelor’s degree in EH&S or related field and 5 -10 years of experience in Safety & Environmental Program Management, and managing environmental regulations and OSHA and ANSI standards.

Specialized training in Safety & Environmental regulations is required.

Implementation and maintenance of the ISO 14000 EMS and ISO 45001 OHSMS programs including system audits and document control.

Preparing and filing all legal reports on a timely basis (i.e.: DNR reporting, EAP reporting, OSHA log, OSHA reporting requirements, etc.).

Control and disposal of all hazardous material.

Preparation of applications for permits to install, operate, or modify pollution control systems.

Implement innovative waste handling and treatment systems to achieve minimization goals and reduce cost while being legally and environmentally compliant.

Develop and present training programs to acquaint plant personnel with chemical hazards; enable them to effectively carry out safety procedures, and select, maintain, and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
