The internship runs during the summer of 2027, with exposure to risk assessments, ergonomic initiatives, and regulatory compliance activities. A strong interest in EHS and the ability to commute to Beloit daily are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
• Ability to commute to Beloit, Kansas daily.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Interest in environmental health, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of safety programs and procedures.
• Assist with ergonomic assessments and improvement initiatives.
• Participate in safety and environmental audits for regulatory compliance.
• Review and develop employee training materials to strengthen safety awareness.
• Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify hazards and corrective actions.
