Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL seeks an EH&S Program Manager to lead environmental health and safety initiatives across manufacturing operations.

You will oversee regulatory compliance, program management, and incident response, partnering with line supervision to drive safety performance and continuous improvement. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration on site and in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a university degree with 8+ years' relevant EH&S experience.
• EH&S regulatory and management systems knowledge required.
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Analyze trends in inspections, audits, injuries, spills, and near-misses; drive corrective actions.
• Provide direction to line management on Health and Safety goals.
• Manage Health and Safety programs including Industrial Hygiene and contractor safety.
• Lead cross-functional projects and coordinate with internal/external teams.
• Respond to onsite medical incidents and coordinate spill response.
• Identify opportunities to integrate EH&S into business operations.
