Job summary

Mativ is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety coordinator for our Athens, GA site. The EH&S Coordinator will lead safety programs, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and support engineering as needed. Reports to Plant Operations Manager and collaborates with the EH&S team.

Responsibilities include developing EH&S plans, leading the safety committee, conducting training, managing incidents and inspections, and maintaining regulatory documentation to foster a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience as EHS leader in an industrial environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting and ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive a prioritized EH&S plan for the plant and track execution.
• Chair the Health and Safety committee and address employee-identified safety issues.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training including New Employee Orientation and inspections.
• Manage workers' compensation cases and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead regulatory inspections and maintain OSHA logs and permits.
