Job summary

YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. seeks an EGYM Trainer to provide one-on-one orientation on the EGYM circuit and to review imbalances with members after orientation.

The role includes recommending additional training opportunities and aligning personal training with EGYM programs. The trainer will assess and orient on the circuit, follow up with members, and promote safety and wellness while supporting member retention and the YMCA's fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 months related experience or training acceptable.
• Personal Trainer Certification required.
• CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of employment.
• Must pass criminal background check and authorization to work with children.
• Sound working knowledge of fitness standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and orientation on the EGYM circuit and HUB.
• Complete follow-up consultation with member to share feedback.
• Suggest personalized exercises tailored to individual needs.
• Explain how personal training complements EGYM training.
• Ensure safety during instruction periods.
• Support member retention and satisfaction through customer service.
• Assist in Annual Campaign fundraising program for the YMCA.
• Maintain a positive attitude with staff, peers, and participants.
• Willing to perform additional duties as assigned.
