Job Description

Day to Day Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate transportation of product (eggs) from one facility to another via truck.
  • Use of pallet jack/forklift to load and unload finished product.
  • Comply with all USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, Safety Programs, Biosecurity Policies, Plant Procedures, HACCP, and Food Defense Programs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Immediately report any mechanical problems or poor-quality conditions to the Plant Leads, Supervisors, or Maintenance staff for repairs.
  • Follow all safety rules and policies.
  • Sort and inspect eggs for defects or abnormalities. Remove poor-quality eggs properly and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • May be required to lift and move boxes of eggs.
  • Responsible for packing eggs into cartons or other packaging materials, ensuring they are packed correctly and securely to prevent damage during transport.
  • May be involved in palletizing egg flats for transport.
  • Inspect eggs for quality and compliance with standards.
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of experience.
  • English proficiency of at least 40%.
  • Mexican passport with at least 1.5 years of validity.
  • TN Visa holder or possess valid, active work authorization in the United States (not pending), as a TN status change of employer will be implemented.
  • US Driver’s license – proof will be requested.
  • Ability to use a pallet jack/forklift.
  • No previous immigration issues.
Job Specifications
  • $20-$21/hour.
  • Work schedule: 50 to 60 hours per week, varying M-F 6:00am-4:30pm, Saturdays 6am-12pm.
  • 56 hours paid time off; holidays include Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day. Health and dental insurance are available. 401k available after 1 year of employment. Holidays may vary based on seasonal job nature.
  • The client will provide housing, sharing an apartment with other employees (own bedroom in a two or three-bedroom apartment). Rent is $5 per day.
  • Transportation to work will be provided. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required. The vehicle will be shared with others living at the same address and on TN visas.
