Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is hiring for an entry-level hatchery worker to transfer eggs from buggies to setter machines and perform routine equipment checks. The role requires adherence to PPE and animal welfare guidelines, plus compliance with all applicable laws.

Shifts vary, including evenings and weekends, with opportunities to gain experience in a large poultry operation while contributing to safe, efficient production and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hatchery or related poultry industry experience preferred.
• Basic math functions and skills required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer eggs from buggies into setter machines.
• Perform machine checks and maintain equipment.
• Pull and push egg buggies as needed.
• Clean and sanitize machines, floors, drains, baskets and buggies.
• Follow all company policies and animal welfare guidelines.
• Fulfill all other duties as assigned.
