Job summary

Select Genetics is seeking Egg Pickers to contribute to a broad, nationwide poultry operation. The role involves supporting daily farm tasks, handling live birds, and maintaining safety and biosecurity standards in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates will lift up to 50 lbs, work in a team, and tolerate variable conditions including dust and temperature changes, with extended hours and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety rules.
• Capable of working in a team and assisting in various areas.
• Experience with tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Experience working with live animals.
• Strong organization and prioritization for efficient operations.
• Comfort working in dusty, cold, humid, hot, chemical, and fume-filled environments.
• Willing to work extended hours, including weekends.

• Work productively in a team environment and be willing to help in any area to get the job done.
• Work with a variety of tools and equipment.
• Have the ability to push, bend, stoop, squat, pull and lift 50lbs or more.
• Successfully work with live animals.
• Organize and prioritize responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform the duties of the job while constantly moving and using hands, occasionally lifting heavy objects while being exposed to dust, cold, humidity, heat, chemicals and fumes.
• Work an extended workday, if needed including weekends.
