Job summary

Foster Farms is hiring for an Egg Handler role in Montrose, CO. The position involves counting eggs, loading and transporting them, and preparing pallets for shipment. You will operate a 4-wheeler, assist with egg room tasks, and perform routine cleaning and maintenance throughout the ranch areas.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb a ladder, and pass pre-employment drug and background checks. Benefits include health, retirement, and time-off protections.

Qualifications

• Good management skills: personnel, organizational skills, conscientious, accepts responsibility, shows interest in ranch management.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Count eggs from each house.
• Load eggs onto trailer and lift 4 flats at a time.
• Transport eggs to egg room using a 4-wheeler.
• Unload eggs into egg room and stack onto pallets; wrap pallets, clean egg room, assist egg truck driver to load pallets.
• Perform tasks as an egg gatherer: gather eggs, clean workrooms, empty trash, walk floors and slats to find eggs and dead birds, help maintain ranch grounds, clean waterers, lights, and the ranch between flocks.
• Other duties as assigned.
